"The Mad Viking" Oswald Brodd certainly lived up to his name on FutureShock this week, delivering one of his infamous temper tantrums. After losing the NW:WU Lost Heroes Trophy at Ring Rust, Oswald Brodd invaded the Underground Dungeon to take out his frustrations on two rookies. The bell had yet to sound in a one-on-one match between Lord Raab and Zeke Stokely when the Mad Viking stormed the ring, ending the match before it had begun with a double Clothesline from Valhalla. "The Saviour" Chris Knite lived up to his name too, coming to the aid of the helpless Gladiators, who have since resigned because of the confrontation. After a gripping contest, Knite added further insult to injury, scoring a victory over the Great Dane. Brodd then turned his focus to referee Dave Gardner, attacking the referee after the match. This prompted NW owner Mr. Sharp to appear on stage, dispatching a handful of referees and Gladiators to restore control - however all fell victim to Brodd's path of destruction. It was "Primal" Jacky Sade that finally ended the madness after being ordered by Sharp to take down the superheavyweight with a crushing blow from Sade's manager, Danny Visage's briefcase (the contents of the case and why Sade obeyed the orders of the boss are still unknown). Brodd was then escorted out of the arena, but the fun didn't stop there. During the show's main event, the newly crowned Lost Heroes Champion James Kitson was guest-commentating on the bout, yet was interrupted by Brodd, who had managed to break back into the arena from the back, leading to an all-out brawl through the Texan crowd. Mr. Sharp is said to be furious with Brodd's actions, telling us "I've let Brodd and others do what they want for far too long. It ends here." The Twisted Genius is set to make an announcement regarding this at the next episode of FutureShock, live from the Old UCW Arena.
